Bachelor of Music, Open Studies

Open Studies offers student a high degree of flexibility to design a curricular path around their own unique interests. With the help of an advisor, students can combine advanced music coursework with numerous options of supporting coursework from other departments on campus.

Talent Requirements for Application

To be considered for acceptance into the BMUS in Open Studies program, applicants must:

  1. Complete an audition. Audition requirements vary by instrument. Applicants submit their audition preference by completing the Music Supplemental Form (sent 24-48 hours after submission of the online application).
  2. Upload a statement of purpose that details the area(s) of interest that you wish to pursue in your studies.
