Illinois Summer Harp Class
2025 dates- TBD
The Illinois Summer Harp Class with Ann Yeung (ISHC) is held each June at the School of Music on the beautiful University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign campus. This intensive three-day class will offer daily master classes, private lessons, and the Participants’ Recital on the final evening. Participants will have the opportunity to work with Ann Yeung and associates. An optional Harp Ensemble Jam will also be available to a limited number of participants. There will be special presentations on various topics such as throughout the ISHC. 2024 will be a special 21st edition featuring Sabrina Vaughan and a new Harp Jam work by Julia Kay Jamieson!
Participants may use the School of Music’s excellent facilities. Harps will be available to practice on during scheduled times during the day. Lever harp participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own harps if they are not comfortable performing in class sessions on a pedal harp. Private harps may be kept on campus if arranged for in advance; a key deposit form is required for authorized private harp owners.
All ages and levels are welcome to attend the ISHC, although the number of participants will be limited.
