By Plane

Fly into the University of Illinois-Willard Airport (CMI) currently serviced by American Airlines located in Savoy, IL. You can take a taxi or shuttle service to your lodging establishment. You may also fly into Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) [2 3/4 hour car trip to C-U], Midway Airport (MDW) [2 3/4 hr car trip], Bloomington, IL (BMI) [50-minute car trip], or Indianapolis International Airport (IND) [2 hr car trip]

Bus Shuttle from Chicago Airports

For those flying into Chicago O’Hare (ORD) or Midway (MDW), you may prefer to use one of these shuttle services over car rental for the week. Having a car on campus is not necessary during the workshop.
Peoria Charter

Train – Amtrak

Amtrak offers three trains daily from Chicago as well as from one from New Orleans and two more from Carbondale, IL, on the Illinois Service. Regular Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (CUMTD) service connects the Illinois Terminal with campus.

Intercity Bus

Illinois Terminal (Downtown Champaign Intermodal Terminal) is served by Greyhound and Burlington Trailways.
