Eligibility:
- This contest is open to high school composers of original music in any of the following categories:
- Electronic Music; Mp3 or mp4 files are accepted for all categories, but students are encouraged to submit musical scores
- Instrumental Concert Music, open instrumentation.
- Entrants must reside in the United States.
- One entry per person.
Electronic and/or recorded music: Scores are optional, recording required.
Instrumental Concert Music: Scores may include any instrumental/vocal combination.
Scores and recordings will be reviewed by the University of Illinois School of Music faculty members.
DATES:
- Applications open September 1
- Deadline for entry is January 15
- Winners will be announced by February 15
Prizes:
First Prize: $150
Second Prize: $100
Third Prize: $50
