Eligibility
- Bass Day is open to all bass players from junior high school through college.
- All bassists are welcome. Including those interested in jazz bass or classical bass. All levels of bassists are welcome.
- Electric bass players are welcome. Please bring a small amp if you plan on bringing an electric bass.
Offerings
Sessions will cover topics of interest to all bass players. Topics will include practice techniques, career advice, improvisation, and more. Master classes are offered in both classical and jazz. Be sure to indicate your interest on the registration form. Sessions will include:
- Improvisation
- Audition preparation
- Technique Boot Camp
- Masterclass with Lawrence Gray and Andy Anderson
- Fingering systems, positions and shifting.
- Developing style and sound as a soloist.
We will prepare and perform a group piece with all attendees.

-Welcome Students and Introduce faculty in large room or stage.
-Introduce vendors and let them give a brief pitch explaining what they brought.

Directions and Parking
- Sessions will take place in the Music Building. The main locations in the building are the School of Music Auditorium, Room 0061, Room 0359 “The Fishbowl”, and Classroom 0508.
- Parking meters around the School of Music and parking inside the Krannert decks is free and open to the public on weekends.
- From any parking area, make your way to the North Entrance of the School of Music.
- Check-in will be in the main lobby off Oregon St.
