Philharmonia Orchestra

The University of Illinois Philharmonia Orchestra (Philharmonia) performs major literature from the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.¬† It is comprised of students representing upwards of 35 majors from throughout the university community. The orchestra rehearses twice weekly and ‚Äčtypically performs two concerts a semester. Membership in Philharmonia is by audition. Matthew Shepard, DMA candidate in conducting, will serve as the conductor for Spring 2024.
