About Kirstin Johnson
Bio
Kirstin (Dougan) Johnson came to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007 as Music and Performing Arts Librarian and became Head of the Music and Performing Arts Library in 2018 after serving as interim head from 2016. She manages the Library’s staff, facilities, and collections. Her research interests focus on music library users, services, and collections. She has had articles published in numerous journals and presented at national and international conferences. Prior to joining the University of Illinois Music Library she was Interim Head (2005-2007) and Public Services Librarian (2003-2007) at Duke University’s Music Library and a Digital Projects Librarian at University of Wisconsin-Madison (2001-2003).
