Joseph Goldstein

Bio

Joseph Goldstein is a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign pursuing a DMA in Horn Performance and Literature. His research is currently focused on teaching, musicology, and improvisation- bringing music from all around the world into the teaching and playing of the Horn. He has played in a number of ensembles at the School, including the University of Illinois Symphony, the Illinois Wind Symphony and Sinfonia da Camera. In addition to performing in ensembles, Joseph enjoys playing the Horn unaccompanied and recreationally, particularly as a means of developing improvisational skill. Joseph has previously completed a Masters of Performance and Literature at UIUC, and Bachelors of Horn Performance at Eastern Illinois University.
