The Robert E. Brown Center for World Music is pleased to announce Gateways to World Music programming for Fall 2019. The performance / lecture series will feature artists drawing from music traditions of West Africa, Spain, the Carpathian Bow, and India.
Alumnus Zhen Piao (AD, MM '17) has won First Prize in the Lynnwood Farnam Organ Competition. The international competition, sponsored by the Montreal Chapter of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, took place at May 18th at St. James United Church in Montreal.

Graduate student Melinda Rodriguez was recently named the winner of the 3rd Annual Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition.
Ms. Rodriguez was one of five finalists, selected from a field of 50 registrants, representing 16 states and 7 countries from around the world.
