Krannert Center welcomes the Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective back to Stage 5 next week for Uncorked. Led by Music alum and guitarist Jose Guzman, DMA ’20, the Collective’s repertoire reflect Guzman’s musical heritage with rhythms from Puerto Rico and Cuba, mixed with the sophistication of modern jazz. Their third album, Fiesta at Caroga, has been making waves in the jazz world.
Guzman received his doctoral degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are thrilled to have the Collective back as part of our Uncorked series this fall. This will be an evening of exciting compositions and amazing rhythms. Join us for this FREE performance at Stage 5 in the Krannert Center lobby!
