About Jae Hyun Moon
Bio
Jae Hyun Moon is a Korean American flutist who actively performs to give back to her community. Debuting with the Long Island Symphony at the age of 14, Merkin Hall in New York City, she has been performing as a soloist, chamber musician, and ensemble musician ever since. Jae Hyun has performed as Principal Flute at the 2019 Prague Summer Night’s Festival touring in The Czech Republic, and her chamber group was featured in Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum. She is continuing her studies at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, for her doctorate degree with Dr. Jonathan Keeble. She received her MM from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, and BM from Carnegie Mellon University, studying under the tutelage of Alberto Almarza. Her other influential teachers include Bart Feller, Soo Kyung Park, Jeanne Baxtresser, Marianne Gedigian and Jung Soo Nam.
