Cara Maurizi

Cara Maurizi has been a music educator for 20 years. She is currently the general music teacher at Leal Elementary School in Urbana. In her 15 years in Urbana, she spent 14 at King Elementary and enjoys bringing musical experiences to her students. When she isn’t teaching public school she is making art elsewhere- including rocking out in the band Modern Drugs where she sings and plays keyboards. Writing music is a passion for Cara, as is acting in local theatre and film. You may have seen her in a local commercial, a short film or on stage at the Station Theatre or MCA. She is excited to join the Rock Band team and help students create some amazing music.
