Two sets of improvised music every first Monday of the month featuring ensemble members in small groupings and in collaboration with participating musicians in the audience.

Established by Jason Finkelman in 2017, Improvisers Exchange Ensemble explores omni-idiomatic improvised music with students, faculty, and special guests at the University of Illinois School of Music. Improvisers Exchange at Rose Bowl Tavern presents small groups of featured ensemble members, followed by a second set where improvising musicians are invited to participate.
