Bachelor of Musical Arts in Lyric Theatre

This new, innovative degree program prepares performers for the demands of the 21st-century musical stage. Students in the BMA will be trained in a broad range of musical styles including opera, musical theatre, and new works.

While offering a myriad of performance opportunities, the BMA prioritizes healthy singing and versatility. In addition to receiving the highest quality of musical education, Lyric Theatre students will be able to choose between two degree concentrations, Creative and Performance. Each concentration is designed specifically to help prepare you for the career you desire. The courses for the Creative Concentration include playwriting, directing, and composition, while the Performance Concentration includes weekly voice lessons, musical theatre dance, and improvisation for acting, music, and movement.
