An immersive day for prospective students and their families to explore programs, meet faculty and students, attend live rehearsals and masterclasses, and envision a future in our vibrant musical community.

Fall tour dates now live! For tour requests outside regular visit days, please email MusicAdmissions@illinois.edu with your name, music interests, and preferred visit days (Monday through Friday, excluding University holidays and pending staff availability).

Low Brass Day (Sept 14, 2025) at the University of Illinois School of Music features members of “The President’s Own” U.S. Marine Band and offers a full-day workshop, including warm-ups, choir rehearsals, etude sessions, exhibits, and a final concert, and is free and open to 8th-12th graders, college students, and enthusiasts.

Double Reed Day (September 28, 2025) at the University of Illinois School of Music, one-day seminar for oboists and bassoonists of all levels, featuring masterclasses, reed-making sessions, ensemble participation, and performances by guest artists Amy Collins and George Sakakeeny.

Single Reed Day (March 28, 2026) at the University of Illinois is a free, one-day event for high school and collegiate clarinetists and saxophonists, featuring masterclasses, reed workshops, ensemble performances, and exhibits from leading woodwind brands.
