Alumna Brittany Viola received the CYSO 2026 Distinguished Service Award
Brittany Viola (BMus/BME, 2009; JD, 2012) is one of Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras 2026 Distinguished Service Awardees! As a longtime supporter and CYSO harpist alumna, Brittany served as Chair of the CYSO from 2023-2025. She received undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Music History as a harpist in the Illinois Harp Studio and her Doctor of Law from the School of Law at Illinois as Editor-in-chief of the Illinois Law Review. She is currently a Partner with Chapman and Cutler LLC.
As a partner, Brittany serves in Chapman’s Asset Securitization Department. Brittany assists commercial banks and trust companies acting as indenture trustee, back-up servicer, collateral agent, paying agent/securities intermediary, transition agent, custodian, and escrow agent in various public, private, and Rule 144A securitizations. Her work also includes the representation of issuers, borrowers, and lenders in a variety of structured finance transactions.
Brittany has represented clients in complex securitization matters involving diverse industries, including transactions backed by auto loans and leases, equipment loans and leases, student loans, PACE bonds, residential mortgage loans, repurchase agreements, credit card receivables, SBA loans, peer-to-peer and consumer loans, solar panel contracts, timeshare loans, business loans (including CLOs), structured settlements, and insurance contracts.
