CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — The Marching Illini are excited to announce three free clinics for students interested in becoming a member of the Marching Illini Guard, Drumline, or Illinettes Dance Team. These clinics are designed to provide hands-on instruction, an inside look at the Marching Illini experience, and an opportunity to learn directly from our outstanding instructional staff and student leaders.
On behalf of the students and faculty of the Marching Illini, we invite any interested 9th-12th grade students, college transfers, or current ILLINOIS students to our FREE Marching Illini clinics in the areas of drum line, guard and dance on the following dates:
- Friday, January 24
- Friday, February 28
- Friday, March 28
Each clinic will run from 12:00–3:00 PM.
Participants will work on fundamental techniques, performance skills, and ensemble concepts specific to their area, while also gaining insight into expectations, preparation, and the culture of excellence that defines the Marching Illini. These clinics are ideal for high school students and prospective University of Illinois students who are exploring future participation in one of our auxiliary and percussion sections.
