Jonathan Keeble, Professor of Flute, will be joined on Thursday, February 5 at 7:30 pm in Smith Recital Hall by oboist John Dee, bassoonist Ben Roidl-Ward, harpsichordist Charlotte Mattax Moersch, harpist Ann Yeung, pianist Ieng Ieng Lam, and percussionists Ricardo Flores, Josh Graham, and Aiden Endres. This program of solo and chamber music, featuring some of the School of Music’s most dynamic performers playing works by Claude Debussy, George Crumb, Georg Phillip Telemann, Stella Sung, Samuel Zyman and others will excite and enthrall.
Jonathan Keeble, Professor of Flute, is joined by colleagues across the School of Music, performing an exciting and diverse program of music that includes classic works by Telemann and Debussy. Additional pieces include George Crumb’s atmospheric “Idyll for the Misbegotten” for amplified flute and 3 percussion, Samuel Zyman’s haunting “Cancion de Cuna” for flute and piano, and Stella Sung’s achingly beautiful “Dance of the White Lotus Under the Silver Moon.” Professor Keeble will be joined by faculty colleagues John Dee, oboe, Ben Roidl-Ward, bassoon, Charlotte Mattax Moersch, harpsichord, Ann Yeung, harp, Ieng Ieng Lam, piano, and Ricardo Flores and Josh Graham, percussion
