Dreams of Peace and Freedom. Kevin M. Geraldi leads the Illinois Wind Symphony in his first program as Director of Bands, featuring John Dee, acclaimed Professor of Oboe in the UIUC School of Music. The concert includes Jennifer Higdon’s introspective blue cathedral and culminates with Karel Husa’s monumental expression of protest against oppression, Music for Prague 1968. This program is dedicated to the people of Ukraine.
