Dr. Julia Escobar (DMA Flute, 2025) will officially publish a brand-new collection of sheet music next year with Theodore Presser Company. This project not only expands the piccolo repertoire, but also brings long-overdue recognition to 8 brilliant historical women composers.
In addition, on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Julia performed a recital at Southwestern University, her current place of employment, with Dr. Jeanne Hourez, featuring piano, piccolo, and flute works by women composers.
