Noël Wan 萬依慈, twice alumna of the Illinois Harp Program, has been named the 2025 College of Fine and Applied Arts (FAA) Emerging Legacy Award recipient! These awards recognize college alumni and friends who have demonstrated courage, curiosity, and passion in their work. Recognized for her charismatic artistry and genre-crossing virtuosity, Noël has been a top prizewinner in numerous international competitions and is Assistant Professor of Harp and Entrepreneurship at Florida State University. Committed to both experimental thought and practice, Noël situates the harp within, around, and against multiple fields, from futures studies to performance studies. Currently, she is working on several projects for the electroacoustic harp as well as electronic sound design under her new moniker The Mother’s Teeth.
