Meliora Trio wins second prize in the Misbin Chamber Competition

The Meliora trio (Jiyeon Choi, clarinet | Yeonwoo Seo, cello | Hana Lim, piano) recently received second prize in the Misbin Chamber Competition in Washington DC. The Misbin Chamber competition is presented by LeVine Music Festival and Washington Performing Arts Center.

Concerto Competition Winners Announced

The winners of the annual School of Music Concerto Competition have been announced. Three UI students will be featured soloists with the UI Symphony Orchestra during the 2016-17 academic year.

Barry Hearn Appointed Principal Trombone of Dallas Symphony
