Summer Professional Development for Educators
Our own faculty are joined by world renowned performers, educators and scholars in these four programs geared toward the professional musician.
Prof. Andrew Megill is joined by scholar Robin A. Leaver and Baroque violinist Nancy Wilson to lead a week of preparation, study and a performance of J.S. Bach's St. John Passion.
This internationally-acclaimed program is recognized for its innovative relevance to string teachers, performers, and serious college students. At this workshop you will learn the ground-breaking playing and teaching principles and techniques of Paul Rolland from world renowned pedagogues.
Hone your conducting skills in this workshop featuring daily podium time with a live ensemble, rehearsal observation of the ISYM orchestra and semiar-discussions on issues relevant to the orchestra educator. You do not need to be a string player to benefit from this workshop.
Joseph Flummerfelt once again joins Andrew Megill to inspire the choral conductor. Daily conducting sessions are augmented by special topic sessions and camradeire with professional conductors from across the continent. Note: conducting slots are currently full for this event.
