Harpists Garner Positions
Illinois Harp Studio alumni are garnering teaching positions throughout North America this year, guiding generations of all ages forward now for the future.
Stephanie Gustafson Amfahr has been appointed full-time Harp Specialist for the Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas, working across five middle and high schools. The 2020-2021 season also marks her third year as founder/co-director of the Houston Youth Harp Ensemble.
Julia Kay Jamieson has joined the University of Illinois-Springfield Community Music School as Harp Faculty. She continues to give improvisation workshops throughout North America and as a regular faculty member of the Canadian International Summer Harp Institute.
Molly O’Roark (pictured top) has joined the University of North Georgia at Dahlonega Music Department as part-time faculty in Harp while continuing as full-time Harp Instructor with the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble in Atlanta.
Noël Wan joins Western University’s Don Wright Faculty of Music in Canada as Assistant Professor of Music (Harp). She previously taught at the University of Notre Dame and St. Mary’s College in Indiana.
