Audition Information for Spring Bands and Orchestras

There are two sets of auditions. The "Unified" audition, listed immediately below, is for the upper two orchestras and upper two bands. The "Standard" audition is for the remaining three bands.

Concert Band Auditions for Non-Music Majors  (Standard Audition)

Hindsley Symphonic Band (TR 3:00-4:50 PM)

University Band (M 7:00-8:50 PM)   

No specific excerpts are required.

Woodwinds, brass, and percussionists audition on the following: a chromatic scale demonstrating the full range of your instrument, two major scales of your choice, and a two-minute prepared work of your choice (solo, etude, excerpt, etc.).
